On Thursday, June 6th, join us for Black Holes: From Einstein to the Event Horizon, the third Astronomy on Tap event in Las Vegas! Enjoy delicious brews at Astronomy Aleworks while hearing about the universe and competing in space-themed trivia! Prepare for trivia questions ranging from science to sci-history to sci-fi.
This event local astrophysicist, Dr. Bing Zhang and Randall Cody Dannen, will tell us about the most mysterious objects in the universe: black holes. Come to learn how astronomers study an object from which no light escapes: from general relativity, to Hawking radiation, to accretion disks, to gamma ray bursts, to the event horizon! No prior astronomy-knowledge needed.
The event begins promptly at 7 pm for ages 21+ only. No cover charge, it’s FREE. Donations are encouraged to be entered into a raffle. Seating is first come, first served.
