AoT EDI #14 – NEW LOCATION! 11th June @ The Outhouse

We’ve changed venues! You can now find us at The Outhouse, not too far from the Playhouse Theatre on Leith Walk.

    • Dr Claudia Antolini (University of Edinburgh)
      How Old Can You See?

    • Dr Colin Snodgrass (Institute for Astronomy, University of Edinburgh)
      What’s in a Comet?
Colin will be chatting about some of the results from the European Space Agency’s Rosetta mission to comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, including what a comet is made of, how it smells and what this tells us about Solar System formation and the origin of life. (Spoiler: There’s alcohol in comets…)

    • Dr Matthew Kenworthy (University of Leiden, NL)
One of the most exciting exoplanet systems we’ve discovered is TRAPPIST-1, with 7 planets orbiting a small red star. In his talk, Matt will tell us what we know about these planets, what we don’t know, and what we’re planning to find out in the future. Featuring: Why he thinks Russian refrigerators are AWESOME.
Visit AoT Leiden on your next visit!
