On August 20, join Astronomy on Tap ATX for our 59th event! At #AoTATX59, we have the honor to have our friends from Austin Astronomical Society (AAS) to tell us about the history of amateur astronomers in Austin. They will also introduce us to tools for amateur astronomical observation, as well as telescope design and making. Join us for the first collaboration between AoTATX and AAS!
#AoTATX59 will be hosted by our Host Stars, Chaos Cloud (Rebecca Larson) and Dr. Micaela Bagley! In addition, #AoTATX59 will feature Astronomy News by Major Merger (Sinclaire Manning) and Astrobit (Dr. Brian W Mulligan), trivia, and new AoTATX merchandise. Finally, we will have telescopes on hand to look for exciting objects in the night sky (weather permitting)! Join us for a night full of astronomy fun over pints of beer!
