AoT SATX #18

Join us on September 4th for Astronomy on Tap SATX #18! Each month, two space experts give ~15 minute talks about the wonders of the universe – with beer in hand! This month, we’ll learn about incredible mission results from “Cassini and Saturn’s Rings: What we Learned at the End of Things?” from Dr. Shawn Brooks of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Then we’ll hear about the never-ending missions (launched in the 1970s!) in a talk called “Voyagers’ Exploration of the Outer Unknowns” with Dr. Fran Bagenal of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics.

These events are free! Enjoy the talks, play space-themed trivia, meet new people, hear about current Astro in the News topics, and pick up some awesome NASA swag!

The event is at our usual spot at the Blue Star Brewing Co. at 1414 S. Alamo St. Doors open at 6:30, talks start at 7. Arrive early since parking and seating fill up quickly, and doors will close if we reach max capacity!
