Astronomy at Home Seattle: October 8th (Online)

AoTSeattle and UW DiRAC present: Astronomy at Home! This free series of livestreamed public events will feature accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe.

IN THIS INSTALLMENT OF ASTRONOMY AT HOME: Join NSF Astronomy and Astrophysics Postdoctoral Fellow and asteroseismologist (😮)Dr. Keaton Bell as he explains how we can star quakes (😱) to sound out the interiors of stars! Dr. Bell will show us how the cutting-edge field of asteroseismology can be used to do science in conditions impossible to recreate in labs on Earth! The event will begin at 7pm (note the early start!), and there will be lots of time to ask questions afterwards. We’ll be going live on Zoom and Youtube at 7pm PDT! Then join us at 8pm on our Instagram for an Instagram Live Q&A with Dr. Bell!
