Astronomy on Tap Champaign-Urbana: Mar. 18, 2021

On the 3rd Thursday every month, learn about the latest in our Universe at Astronomy on Tap, Champaign-Urbana.

Join us live on YouTube next Thursday, March 18 at 6 PM CT for this month’s Astronomy on Tap CU, where our remote guest Rachael Klaiss will be talking about Light: The secret sauce of physics and technology. Electromagnetic radiation—more commonly known as light—pops up in our daily lives in both visible and invisible forms, and is behind some of the greatest discoveries in physics and astronomy.

Rachael Klaiss is a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Oregon Department of Physics, studying the intersection of nanoscale materials and quantum light, and outside of the lab she works on improving the accessibility of physics and physics education.

Grab a drink, bring your friends and family, and let’s have some fun while we learn! We hope to see you there!
