Astronomy on Tap Triangle #27: Tuesday, April 6, 2021

Come check out Astronomy on Tap Triangle, our North Carolina chapter of short and engaging talks about astronomy over beer, held virtually on YouTube — this is our twenty-seventh event held from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, April 6th!

In this event, we’ll hear from Alan Rich*, a Solar System Ambassador for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. His talk, “A New Frontier for Mars Exploration with Perseverance”, will explore the science mission from the new Perseverance rover!

* Alan Rich is a scientist/engineer with education, training, and experience in chemistry and engineering. A JPL Solar System Ambassador since 2001, he enjoys taking deep topics such as astrophysics and rocket science and presenting them to any age group and education level in a way that’s entertaining and easy to understand.

Our FREE Astronomy on Tap events feature accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.
