Astronomy on Tap Triangle #31: Tuesday, December 7, 2021

Come check out Astronomy on Tap Triangle, our North Carolina chapter of short and engaging talks about astronomy over beer. Find us in the taproom of Fullsteam Brewery in Durham, NC — this is our thirty-first event held from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, December 7th!

The most common way to look at space is not using our eyes at all, but using telescopes to see for us – sometimes even beyond the visible spectrum. Astronomers often use graphs to visualize this data, but other mediums are necessary to communicate this information to the outside community. With this in mind, there are several different ways to share astronomy so we can all “see” and understand space. Join us as Erin Brady (High Point University) talks about science communication through the lens of using different mediums and Seeing Space in Unconventional Ways!

Our FREE Astronomy on Tap events features accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.
