AoT Rochester #7: Quest for Habitable Worlds

Join us for Astronomy on Tap Rochester on Tuesday, February 17th! Our fabulous February speakers are Steve Fentress, ASRAS member and former Director of the RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium, and Edwin Alexani, PhD student at Rochester Institute of Technology!

Edwin’s talk will cover NASA’s proposed Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO), what research is happening for the future of telescopes, and what exciting science the HWO may be capable of: from exoplanets to black holes. Speaking of black holes, Steve’s talk will be on the Quest for Black: what do astronomers think about the color black? How do we look for it, and what does it mean? Sounds spooky!

Astronomy on Tap events are FREE and open to all ages. See you soon!
