Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles: Astro Visualization & Machine Learning

June 24 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM PDT

Join us at 7:30PM PDT, Monday, June 24th for Astronomy on Tap at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. We’ll hear from NASA Scientist Dr. Robert Hurt: “When Data Isn’t Enough: Illustrating Astrophysics for the Public,” as well as recent Caltech graduate Xander Hall: “Using Machine Learning and Citizen Science to Classify Supernovae”  In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, and astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!
