Astronomy on Tap Seattle: July 20 (8 pm) at Bickersons Brewhouse (Ballard)

We’ve got a real special Astronomy on Tap this month, featuring scientists from the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff Arizona here at Bickersons Brewhouse at 8pm!
First, Dr. Jeff Hall will talk about Pluto’s discovery, what’s been going on since then and its tie to the Lowell Observatory. Then, Dr. Moskovitz will discuss NASA’s DART spacecraft’s plan to crash into an asteroid, on purpose!
Each FREE Astronomy on Tap event features accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. Most events have games and prizes to test and reward your new-found knowledge! There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.
