Astronomy on Tap Champaign-Urbana: Feb. 18, 2021

On the 3rd Thursday every month, learn about the latest in our Universe at Astronomy on Tap, Champaign-Urbana.

Join us live on YouTube on Thursday, February 18 at 6 PM CT for this month’s Astronomy on Tap CU, where Professor Brian Fields will be telling us about Neutrinos–Ghostly Messengers from the Extreme Cosmos! We will meet neutrinos, particles that pass through you imperceptibly by the trillions every second, and which bear witness to the most extreme locales in the cosmos, from the interior of the Earth to the hearts of stars to the big bang itself.

Brian Fields is on the faculty of the Illinois Astronomy and Physics departments, and is fascinated by the “inner space/outer space” connections that link the science at the smallest and largest scales.

Grab a drink, bring your friends and family, and let’s have some fun while we learn! We hope to see you there!
