AoT Las Vegas‘s next event, The Birth of Planets, will be on Thursday, February 27th. Enjoy Astronomy Alework‘s delicious brews while hearing about the universe and competing in space-themed trivia (with prizes)! Prepare for trivia questions ranging from science to sci-history to sci-fi.
The event begins promptly at 7 pm for ages 21+ only. Seating is first come, first served. No cover charge (it’s free)! Freewill donation for an extra chance to win exciting door prizes.
This event local astrophysicists, Dr. Zhaohuan Zhu and Shangjia Zhang will share with us how planets are born in protoplanetary disks. Come to see the disks of hot gas and dust astronomers have observed with huge telescopes and how structures within the disks tell stories of planet formation. No prior knowledge needed.
