The second edition of Astronomy on Tap Leiden will take place on Monday 24 April at 20h in Grand Cafe De Burcht. Join us for an evening of informal astronomy and great beer! This edition is about the birth, life and destruction of stars. The event will feature two professional astronomer speakers as well as games and quizzes. We welcome all ages and backgrounds – a passion for beer and/or astronomy is a bonus!
– Dr. Yanett Contreras is an expert on the birth of stars, especially the most massive stars in our galaxy. She will tell us the fascinating story of how stars come to be!
– Dr. Liz Guzman researches how stars die and what will happen to the planets around those stars in the final stages on their lives. Join us to hear more about these beautiful – dying – stellar objects!
– In between the talks, there will be fun astronomical games and quizzes! Use this opportunity to improve your astronomical knowledge or just show off to your friends!
