“Who turned the stars out?”
One of the most fundamental ingredients of a galaxy is the stars that live inside it. However, somewhere along their evolution, galaxies stop making new stars. Could it be that some galaxies are ejecting huge amounts of the material they need as fuel for star creation? If so, how are they doing it and why?
